What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by users send to their devices, where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites on the next visit. “Third-party” cookies, on the other hand, are set by a website other than the one the user is visiting.
This happens because each site may have elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages from other domains, etc.) that are hosted on servers different from the one of the site being visited.
Cookies are used for different purposes: computer authentication, session tracking, storing information on specific configurations related to users accessing the server, storing preferences, etc.
Types of cookies
Cookies can be first-party, i.e., installed by our own site, or third-party, installed by a domain different from the one being visited.
The type of cookies varies based on the purposes for which they are used, mainly distinguishing between technical, statistical, profiling, and marketing cookies.
Some of the widgets installed on our site (such as links to social pages) may perform tracking and profiling activities, in ways not known to the Data Controller. To learn more about these, we invite you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of the relevant Data Controllers.
Some of these purposes require your consent, which can be updated or revoked freely at any time by following the instructions provided in this document.
